a tale of two times

No camera or lens can properly represent the Grand Canyon. But different sun angles do reveal the nuance within the labyrinth below. 
Our first glimpse on entering the park at dusk, mostly overcast.
Perhaps these secrets are what instills the desire to somehow make our way down, down, down to the Colorado River. Like the Kolb brothers, to explore each and every inlet and crevice.  Perhaps even those that shouldn't be discovered.

Bright and early in the morning as we depart, overcast again but slightly sunnier. 
Even Tucker, who would not stand within five feet of the rim, shares the desire to hike all the way to the bottom.
