bikes, the big melt and bulls

Since it is time to bid a temporary adieu to the slopes, we loaded up the bikes for a tune and started looking getting excited about family rides! I literally jumped up and down with excitement at the bike shop.

In the meantime, snow is still falling up high and water starts to trickle down from the mountain peaks-our water battery.  Keep that moisture coming!

And the wildlife are migrating.  Four young bull elk were behaving very oddly near the trail this week.  They were a little spooked by me and kept running back and forth between the gully and the meadow.  Of course, they look very calm and still for this picture.  The rest of the herd have been sitting on display in Elk Meadow.
