Trip Report Day 3: Spokane to Vancouver

Mission accomplished and a$s thoroughly tired of sitting. Driving 2,300 miles is similarly daunting and overwhelming to moving but I’m here and we’re gonna to get it done!

Growth prevails in Eastern Washington and especially in the Columbia Basin. Corn and potatos and other veggies turn into apples and apricots and cherries. Only asparagus was available for purchase at the farm store so early but the orchards were in bloom and the River was full.

White Trail Produce

Ready to be filled up again.

The hard work of food production is everywhere here. It must take so many people and so much coordination to pick all of those future fruits and transport them into the world for eating, all within just a few weeks (and I am so thankful that they do).

The River was flowing big after Leavenworth with crazy kayakers doing their thing. The chargers at the Lake Wenatchee turnoff were perfectly remote.

Solitary Charging

And then Sunday(?) traffic - or maybe it's always this way. And one last charge at another outstanding charging location in Bellingham (food trucks, bike and skate parks, ice cream, marina, playground, all within a few steps of the chargers).

Next the nerve-wracking boarder crossing. I didn't used to be so nervous crossing the border. I miss the laid back days of just crossing the border and being allowed in because we are besties with our friends to the North.

Alas, no problem and here I am. Parking aside, we are ready to move a few blocks South.

Acquired a few boxes at the fruit stand.
