We started with a warm and welcoming brunch at Birch Provisions in Bigfork. We wanted to take home all of the provisions and trade a few of our books in their lending library tree. Alas, we forgot our books and don't have enough room for all of the yummy things they sell so settled on just a hearty breakfast burrito, an avocado toast and a hot honey bee mocha. We will definitely be back!

From Bigfork we took the wrong road out of town. Fortunately the wrong road was also a great road, with cherry blossoms and views of Flathead Lake around every corner.

It should have been a quick, easy drive to Bozeman but it ended up feeling long. We charged in Missoula at the end of the wrong road, on the wrong side of the mountains. We should have been charging in Helena. We charged in Butte, too. Both chargers were at truck stops with nothing to do but wash the windows and check messages. It was especially windy for the last push from Butte to Bozeman which took at least an hour and four days. The mountains are snowy in big sky country, though. That was lovely.
In Bozeman our motel, The was a very nice surprise - a surprise that would not have happened if we brought J-dog along for this very long ride. Thank you Stash! You always comes through for us. In this instance I even had enough reward points to pay for our (very cheap) exceptional room at The Sapphire Motel. Seriously, the rooms feel like pieces of art here, the lobby makes me want to curl up in a chair and read Travels with Charley, the courtyard is green and grassy and the beds were almost too comfy! We order pizza and slept.
